Sharon
Stroh, President & CEO
BA, University of Nebraska- Omaha
Since 1996, Sharon Stroh has served as President/CEO of the Steuben
County Community Foundation. She previously was employed by Culver & Associates
in Omaha, NE, a public relations firm, where she worked with the
governor's Director of Economic Development who chaired the board
of the Nebraska Community Foundation.
Under her leadership, the foundation has grown over 170%, and now
has assets of over $14 million. During her tenure, the Foundation
has successfully completed Phases II through V of Lilly Endowment's "GIFT
(Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow) Initiative"- a challenge
grant opportunity to raise endowed funds, "Taking Stock"-
an assessment tool designed to evaluate internal and external performance
and the impact the Foundation has had on the community, and "Sustaining
Resource Development"- a plan designed to build sustainability
and engage board members in a strategic, focused way. In late 2005,
the Foundation was awarded yet another Lilly initiative- the CAPE
(Community Alliances to Promote Education) grant, which will support
pre-kindergarten education and act as an educational opportunities
clearinghouse. |

Oren
Skinner, Ed.D.,
Development Officer
Ed.D. Indiana University, Bloomington
Oren originally joined the staff in 2004, serving as its first
development officer. Having served as the Metropolitan School District
of Steuben County's superintendent of schools for almost eighteen
years and a total of thirty years of working with people as a school
administrator, he brings with him proven administrative and interpersonal
relationship skills which will assist him in working with the multitude
of existing and potential donors. In addition to his regular duties
he assisted in the development of successful CAPE and "Sustaining
Resource Development" grant initiatives.
His position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continually
monitoring a plan for communicating with potential and current donors,
professional advisors, and the community at large. Duties include
educating and assisting board members in developing relationships
with donors in order to build endowment funds, promote planned giving,
and raise operational funds as well as increasing the assets of
the Foundation, thus strengthening the impact of the SCCF in meeting
the charitable needs of Steuben County. |

Lisa
Caudill
Scholarship Associate
As a 20-year resident of Steuben County,
Lisa has spent her working career, until now, in the banking industry.
With her experience in finance, management and customer service,
Lisa brings these important skills to the Foundation. Her strengths
include her communication and people skills, and her outstanding
reputation. Additionally, she has served in numerous boards and
committees throughout the couty and had a strong committment to
our community. These attributes will serve her well in her new position. |

Bill
Stockberger
Grant Administrator
Bill joined the staff on July 1, 2008. As a 10-year resident of Steuben County, he has been a very active volunteer in the community helping several non-profit organizations. He is also a sports broadcaster for local high school football and basketball games. Bill has worked his entire career in the service industry, 19 years as a customer service and sales manager in the electric industry; 5 years at TriState University in the development department; and 5 years as a golf professional. All these opportunities will serve him well in his new position with the Foundation. |

Pam
Harger
Youth Program Associate
Pam has worked with yong people in a variety of capacities for 28 years. She began as a truant officer/diversion counselor for the Williams County (Ohio) Schools and Court. The past 18 years have been spent at Hamilton Community Schools providing services that include counseling, testing coordination, community networking, school improvement planning, and youth leadership. Foundation work is very familiar to Pam having served on the Grants Committee and as FIST (Forever Improving Steuben County Together) guide for Hamilton students since 1996. Empowering young people and connecting them with their community is a high priority for Pam as she nurtures these 8th through 12th graders from Angola, Hamilton and Fremont develop as future philanthropists by exercising resources of time, talent, and treasure.

Sandy
Ferrell
Administrative Assistant
As a native of Steuben County, Sandy worked in county government for ten years
before joining the staff at the Foundation. The skills she learned in 911 Communications
and the Building Department have given her proficiency in a variety of areas
such as computer literacy, basic accounting, inventory & supplies, maintaining
facts & files and customer service. Her greatest strengths? Tenacity and
dependability. |
