Each newsletter for the next few months we will feature
a Staff Member to help the community get to
know the faces behind the Foundation. This month we continue with Shannon Armstrong, our Trine University Marketing and Communications Intern.

Shannon Armstrong is the current Marketing& Communications Intern here at the Foundation. She is a junior business management major at Trine University, expecting to graduate in May of 2013 (or in an eternity if you ask her!). Once graduated, she hopes to continue working in the nonprofit industry and eventually start her own nonprofit focused on assisting terminally/critically ill patients and their families/caregivers in achieving their life goals.

If you ask what she does in her spare time, Shannon's typical response is "spare time? What's that?" In addition to being a full time student at Trine and interning here at the Foundation, Shannon also works full time at the Angola Ramada and is the Event Chair for the Relay For Life of Steuben County. Her passion for the nonprofit industry shines in everything she does.

On March 1st, Shannon will change her relationship status on Facebook from "in a relationship" to "married." She and her fiancé, Nick, were granted a wedding of their dreams by Wish Upon aWedding in Indianapolis. The happily ever after begins in less than 40 days (but who's counting?).

Shannon is the youngest of 4 children and grew up in Pleasant Lake. She has a Yorkie-mix who is a whopping 6 pounds named Todo. Nick, Shannon, and Todo enjoy going to the park in the summer and playing in the snow in the winter.
