Steuben County Community Foundation Celebrates Retirement of Longtime Office Manager
Angola, IN — After more than 20 years of dedicated service, Sandy Ferrell, Office Manager at the Steuben County Community Foundation (SCCF), has announced her retirement. Sandy’s last day of employment will be September 11, 2025.
Ferrell joined SCCF in 2004 and has been a steady, welcoming presence for community members, donors, and nonprofit partners ever since. Known for her tenacity, attention to detail, and warm smile, she has played a vital role in the foundation’s growth and impact over the past two decades.
“SCCF was built by dedicated volunteers and donors, but it was also shaped by the tenacity of Sandy Ferrell. Her work has touched every aspect of the foundation, and our community will forever benefit from her service.”
Ferrell looks forward to spending more time gardening and using her Master Gardener certification in retirement. She shared, “I have had the privilege of supporting the Foundation's mission and witnessing firsthand the positive impact our work has had on the Steuben County community. The relationships I have built and the meaningful projects I have been part of will always hold a special place in my heart.”
While Sandy will be deeply missed, SCCF remains prepared and excited for the future. The foundation is supported by a skilled and experienced staff team, alongside a dedicated board of directors whose collective knowledge will continue to support donors’ generosity, community development, and nonprofit leadership. Together, they remain committed to carrying forward SCCF’s mission of connecting people who care with causes they care about in our community.
