Steuben County Early Childcare Coalition Launches with $80,000 in Seed Funding
Angola, IN— A new effort to strengthen childcare access in Steuben County is gaining momentum. The Steuben County Early Childcare Coalition officially launched this week with $80,000 in seed funding and support from a wide range of community partners.
The coalition has begun working with Transform Consulting Group (TCG) to lay the groundwork for becoming an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit. At its October 7th kickoff meeting, TCG shared early findings and invited community members to help shape priorities for the coalition.
“We know that access to high-quality childcare is essential for families and employers alike. This coalition is about bringing the community together to find solutions that will strengthen Steuben County’s future.”
The launch of the coalition was made possible through the generosity of early investors, including:

Dekko Foundation, Toolbelt Grant: $10,000
Northeast Indiana Early Childcare Coalition: $10,000
Steuben County Community Foundation: $15,000
Steuben County Economic Development Corporation: $10,000

Steuben County REMC, Operation Roundup Grant: $10,000
