Sheets Family Park Announces Soft Opening

Angola, IN—The City of Angola Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the soft opening of Sheets Family Park. Residents and visitors are invited to begin enjoying the playground, pickleball courts, trails, and gathering areas as the park opens to the public for the first time.

Sheets Family Park is a City of Angola park made possible through broad community support. Families, donors, local businesses, civic organizations, and volunteers worked together to create a welcoming public space designed for play, recreation, and connection. The park reflects the shared vision and generosity of people across Steuben County who believed in investing in a public space that benefits the entire community.

We are excited to open the park for families, neighbors, and friends to use, Sheets Family Park is for everyone. It was intentionally designed to be inclusive and accessible so that children, adults, and older residents, including those from historically underserved populations, can enjoy it fully. This park represents what can happen when the community works together toward a shared goal of belonging and well-being.
— Matt Hanna, Parks and Recreation Superintendent at the City of Angola.
